When I was little, I so much enjoyed my mom’s homemade chin-chin that I wouldn’t want it to finish! It tasted so different and then my teethes were so strong to chew them that I enjoyed every bit of it. Then, I would go to Children fellowship at a non-denominational ministry and they would teach us that faith makes the impossible possible… In sincerity, I would come back home and continue praying and believing that Mom’s chin-chin appear before me whether she prepared it or not! I believed, I got my entire being filled up with the thoughts, I was positive but nothing happened, I grew up believing I acted childish! I did anyway!
:
God makes the impossible possible, that is sure! For the believer, God has already made the impossible possible and there is simply no impossibility according to God’s will and not according to our human desires.
:
Faith does not change God’s will, faith cannot make what isn’t God’s will become His will. Faith cannot make God change His mind about something and to certain situations faith cannot make the impossible become possible.
:
What we call impossible is often what is hard for the human mind to decipher but it truly isn’t impossible. It is possible that you will be rich, it is possible that you will live in good health! It is possible that HIV will be cured… All these things has been settled in the spirit by the way! It has been done, it is past tense! When you experience difficulties, coming out of it isn’t impossible, decide to live in the reality of what God has done, stop living in the past, live in the now! People without Christ escape certain earthly problems, how much more you! But what if you weren’t healed in the body? What if you believed and you still died without material wealth? What if you were positive all through but you still never experienced what you believed God for? Does that mean God isn’t God? No!
:
All things are possible according to God’s will. I understand what some of us mean when we say “the impossible will become possible” but for the believer in Christ, “the impossible has become possible according to His purpose and Grace, therefore the impossible don’t exist anymore. What will not happen for the believer will not happen!” If it is not God’s purpose for you, it may be a good idea, a positive and godly thing but if it is not God’s purpose for you, He will not make it happen just because you had faith!

Many times, we quote what Jesus said out of context as we say “with enough faith, we can move mountain” and there are so many mountains in the world and none has been moved by anybody! We hear stories and testimonies of great and mighty things people have done but none has moved any mountain in the name of Jesus! Jesus didn’t even move one Himself! What is the purpose of moving mountains?
:
In Matthew 17:20, Jesus never meant a literal mountain! He meant we can move out any opposition or obstacles! A certain man after long days of fasting and prayers came out thinking God was a showbiz superstar who would love to entertain people at his command as a reward of his fast! He declared he was going into the Zoo, to replay the story of Daniel in the Den of Lion! He had enough faith it that was a criteria of doing the impossible and people gathered to watch him! They were ready to be entertained and tv stations would come to broadcast this if it happens to be true! This man was pleaded upon not to enter the zoo by concerned friends but he insisted he would surprise them, he has built enough faith by enough fasting and prayers. Of course he defied all odds and entered the lion cage, the lions used him for dinner… Such meat they had never tasted before… Original and non cloned human meat, caught alive and healthy… A great day for these lions that might have never knew what humans tasted like! He had faith? Maybe a very stupid one!
:
Let’s take a look at Jesus whom many had misquoted and credited their wrong interpretations to! In Matthew 26:39, Jesus was seen in Gethsemane praying and saying “My Father, if it is possible, take this cup of suffering from me! Yet not what I want, but what you want.” Yes, Jesus would have walked away from this mission if He wanted! He became man and as man knew and saw lots of suffering ahead of Him! While what He wanted as a man was to loose hold on the cup of suffering which was much, it wasn’t God’s will and He said “Yet not what I want, but what you want.”
:
If it was possible to save the world without Jesus dying on the cross, it would have been done! But it was not possible, Jesus wasn’t faithless, yet the impossible wasn’t possible! We need to learn from Jesus and start learning to say “God’s will be done!” No wonder John who was there when Jesus prayed this prayer wrote in 1 John 5:14 “we have courage in God’s presence because we are sure that he hears us if we ask Him for anything according to His will.” It is not according to our will but according to His will.
:
Things that are impossible for us according to His will remains impossible and God doesn’t grant it! Not that He can’t but it is not His will. Things that are possible according to His will are possible!
:
Let me make it clear here, Christ has set us free from the world, we have overcome the world entirely through Christ! We shouldn’t fight as though overcoming the world is impossible, we have already overcome the world and it is possible to experience it in this life. Healing and salvation is possible, they are settled cases and when it comes to our material needs we must always align ourselves with God’s word and let His will be done. Concerning those, Jesus said “do not be anxious of what to eat and drink… Your Heavenly Father knows you need them.” It shouldn’t bring you worry and cause you to panic, allow God’s will to be done. You mustn’t drive that car, you mustn’t build that house, you mustn’t own that firm… Sometimes learn to listen to God and know what He is saying! You can’t impress Him into changing His mind, you can’t praise His head away that He decides to do that which He didn’t purpose! Just learn to walk with faith in God and you’ll see yourself walking in line with His purpose. How do you walk with faith in God? Meditate on the word and you shall not walk in darkness.

God bless you!
