The Christian life is not just a changed life, it’s an exchanged life. Life in this regard is literal…

:

We live a different kind of life. The world have their own kind of life but that life can only be defined as dead in spiritual terms.

:

We have always see people who say “I am from a poor or average family”, I used to say that too. I was born into an earthly family where we don’t have everything we wanted, I remember that from my Senior secondary class I couldn’t pay school fees nor enroll into the University. So many stories to tell if we start recounting our experiences but truth is; as believers in Christ, that is not who we are. We say those things because our focus is on our earthly lineage. A believer in Christ has no other background that is not Christ as the Bible says in Ephesians 3:14

:

“for this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named”

:

I get excited when I see these things. We have a family in God, this family is more real than our earthly family. This family is superior to that which we have been identified with on earth.

:

Listen to me, I am not from Nnadozie’s family, I was born into that place on an assignment. I am the offspring of God, I am born of God. The father of our Lord Jesus Christ is also our own father.

:

Before Jesus died and resurrected, He always communicate God as His father. But when He died and resurrected terms changed. We weren’t just His disciples, we became His brothers and we share the same father. He said in John 20:17 (ERV)

:

“Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

:

Look at that… I am super excited! His father also became our father. Now, wherever you see “the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ”, it is legal and right for you to add your name there! You are defined in Jesus… You’re not just like Jesus, you have become as Him!

:

So, whatever was and is entitled to Him is also entitled to you. Tell yourself “I have what Jesus has, I live where Jesus lives” This is why the Bible says in 1 John  4:17 “…as He is, so are we in this world”

We are not a lower version of Jesus… We are exactly like Jesus. You may not understand this if you start looking at your natural self… Your definition is not found in your flesh… You are not defined by what you feel. Perhaps you may feel you are not like Jesus because you lied yesterday, perhaps you did something terrible the past few minutes and your body just wouldn’t agree that you are exactly like Jesus… Damn what your feelings says, knowledge is superior to emotions. What you know is greater than what you feel. You are like Jesus…why? Because God says so.

:

In the beginning, God said “let there be light” and light came. Anything God said became, there was not a single thing that never responded to His word. This is why you must learn to agree with God regardless of what your eyes is seeing. Darkness made no effort to produce light, it was the entrance of God’s word that brought light! The Bible says in Psalm 119:130 “the entrance of God’s word giveth light” Darkness contributed nothing, God’s word came and light was made manifest

:

This exactly what happened in you. God gave His word saying “whoever believes in Jesus is righteous”, Now, as believers… You became righteous because God called you righteous, you contributed nothing, your effort was never needed, you just became righteous because God said you are righteous. So don’t think it has anything to do with what you feel! Your feelings are useless when it’s not in tune with what the word has said, the Bible says the flesh is weak, you feel with your flesh! Ignore the weak flesh and walk by the Spirit. You are as Jesus because you have become one with Him and the same spirit is at work in you. The Bible says in Romans 8:11

:

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”

:

1 Corinthians 6:17

“But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.”

:

Back to Ephesians 3:14 We see that the father of our Lord is also our father. Jesus is the head of the family, the first born and the foremost display of God’s glory and power. Many times, our earthly fathers call their first born “the test of my strength”, Jesus is the display of God’s power. Therefore the entire family in heaven and earth is named after Jesus. Now you see, you belong to a better family. This family isn’t only relevant is the spiritual realm but also in the earthly realm. Don’t ever say you are from a poor or average family… It’s an insult to who you are. In God’s kingdom, it’s impossible to be poor! I am not born with a silver spoon, what do I need a spoon for? I am born of God! All that belongs to God is mine.

:

Let me take you a bit further…

You are too “Goded” to defined by the perspective of men… It is my own English. Men can’t define who you are, your definition is locked up in Christ. Outside Jesus, we don’t exist. This means, to understand who you are, you keep looking at Jesus. If Jesus is holy, it means I am holy because I have become as He is, not by my efforts but by His word! I told you Jesus is the revelation of God. Well, you are also the revelation of God’s glory, I will show you that. This is not to excite us, it is to make us know that we have no limits. In Christ, I am limitless. God is your real father!!!!! The Bible says in 1 John 5:1

:

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well”

:

Do I have people here who believe that Jesus is Christ? I have announcement for you, YOU ARE BORN OF GOD! A lion can only give birth to a lion! A man can only give birth to a man… Well, God has given birth to Gods! Don’t be apologetic about it. The same things Jesus did, you can do. He said “in my name you shall cast out devils”, He didn’t say you must say “devil be cast out in the name of Jesus”. Look at what He was saying, “because you are called by His name, when you appear, He is the one who has appeared, When you speak, He is the one speaking”

:

On His behalf, you are casting out devils, you are standing on the same authority of Jesus. This is why you must consciously train your mind to think like Christ and talk like Christ. You are not training yourself to do this so that you become like Christ, you are training yourself to act like who you have become. Many of us are Igbos but we studied Igbo language and culture in school, why? They were training us, not to make us Igbos but to make us act like who we are in the flesh….

:

It’s like that as believers in Christ Jesus. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:1 “You are God’s dear children, so try to be like him”

You are God’s children…

Try to be like Him, condition your mind to think and act like God! Not being like Him doesn’t mean you are not His child. However, you try to become like Him so that you can function in the God capacity. I told you a Lion will give birth to a lion. So, you are God’s offspring.

:

You are too blessed to be cursed. Walk and talk as a blessed person! No man can curse you, nobody from your earthly village can stop you. Why? Your true village people are not those people you see, we have a different world and your real people cannot stop you…. They are designed to live the godly life.

:

The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

This is who we are…

You are shinning…

You aren’t stopping…

You belong to God!
