“Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” – 2 Corinthians 3:6 KJV

:

You need to carefully look at the above verse to understand what the Bible is saying. Anyone can be a minister, they can minister anything of any sort! But there are ministers of the new testament and they are the only relevant ministers. New international version of the Bible calls it “competent”. God had made us competent ministers of the new covenant which is not of human wisdom, intellect and written laws but of the Spirit! We minister by the spirit which gives life. Our ministrations are born out of revelations which cannot be obtained by a mere study of the letters but by the divine outpour of knowledge, a knowledge that exposes the message behind the secret codes, the parables and the writings of the prophets and religious men who functioned in a limited knowledge because they had a veiled face that couldn’t clearly decode certain things they saw and even heard.

:

Yes, at their own times, even the limited knowledge of God that they had came with glory as Paul wrote

:

“But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:” – 2 Corinthians 3:7 KJV

:

One thing is clear, everything they had then was a shadow of what was to come even though some of them never realized it! The glory of the written law was a shadow of the glory of the new covenant. Some Prophets saw the coming of a new kind of people but it wasn’t very clear to them what those revelations meant because they still had veiled faces. The Psalmist saw this and declared

:

“This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord .” – Psalms 102:18 KJV

:

Look at that! He talked about a generation to come, a people that shall be created for the praises of God! God stopped creating on the seventh day as Genesis pointed out but here we see another declaration considering a people God will create for His praises! It was all about us! It was a revelation of the new creatures! Let’s look at the proceeding verses

:

“For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;  To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;  To declare the name of the Lord in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;” – Psalms 102:19‭-‬21 KJV

:

There is nothing that shows it wasn’t about us that the Psalmist was talking about! He saw God looking down to those groaning in the prison and Peter confirms this by writing

:

“By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;” – 1 Peter 3:19 KJV

:

The Psalmist also saw God loosing those who were already sentenced to death and we see the confirmations all over the new testament where we are declared to be saved if we can only believe! The Bible says

:

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23 KJV

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” – Romans 3:23‭-‬24 KJV

:

All men were marked for death but because of God’s unfailing love for man, He caused Jesus to appear as man who is His express image. Jesus is God’s way of reaching man and through Jesus, man got loosed from death! This death isn’t the physical death but the spiritual death that was as a result of sin. And the Psalmist also noted that God did this so that His name will be declared in Zion and Jerusalem! This is God’s way of establishing His kingdom in the hearts of men! It is God’s way of making everyone His chosen people! No wonder Peter declared to us

:

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” – 1 Peter 2:9 KJV

:

You see that? God chose us and made us His own priests who offers sacrifices of praise. We were made one nation, a unity that can only be sponsored by the Divine! The Bible didn’t say “nations” but “an holy nation” which means we are united in Christ as one nation with one Zion and Jerusalem! We are called out of darkness to show forth His praises.

:

We are that generation many prophets in the old testament anticipated to witness. Only John was opportune to see the manifestation  of Jesus among all who came before Jesus, that’s why Jesus declared concerning John

:

“The truth is that John the Baptizer is greater than anyone who has ever come into this world. But even the least important person in God’s kingdom is greater than John.” – Matthew 11:11 ERV

:

Many people have always misinterpreted what Jesus was communicating here. He said John was greater than all who has come into the world, he didn’t say “who will come” but “who has come” which signifies that He was talking about people who had come into the world before John. The next line explains this very well! Jesus said that even the least important person in God’s kingdom is greater than John! Let’s not get confused at this point. God’s kingdom includes the heavens and the earth, God’s sphere of authority covers all the universe! When Jesus was talking about the least important persons, he was referring to people who were not considered anything! He was referring to us and He said this because our greatness will not be counted by our achievements but by what He (Jesus) has done. The next verse explains why, He said

:

“Since the time John the Baptizer came until now, God’s kingdom has been going forward strongly (suffereth violence: KJV). And people have been trying to take control of it by force.” – Matthew 11:12 ERV

:

God’s kingdom has been forcefully advancing! All those things the law talked about started taking place… It was a time for the fulfillment and the expiration of the law! The law was done with and through Jesus, a new breed of people came about! People who are not controlled by the flesh but by the spirit! This is why our ministration is not of the law and agreements of old but of the new testament which comes only by the Spirit. Only the ministers of the new testament are able ministers, only the able ministers rightly divide the word of truth… We minister life, we minister reconciliation which is what we have been called to do. When a man is reconciled to God, he receives the life which had been made available and this is the way we bring life to people.

:

We are born in due season and we live for God!
