Heard a story of two donkeys years back! It was a comedy story but very inspiring! As it flashed back this morning I got a message.

:

Two donkeys were strolling lazily in the city of Jerusalem when one of them said “brother, this terrible! Years back when I entered this town, I had Jesus sitting on my back. People were shouting and hailing us! They even threw clothes on the ground as I walked on top of it. But today, no one notices me anymore! Everyone just locked up against me.”

:

The other donkey shook his head, looked side ways and then straight into the eye of his brother and said “well, let me tell you something. In this life that we are in, WITHOUT JESUS, YOU ARE NOBODY!”

:

The question is, before Jesus sat on this donkey, what was his life like? The donkey was fine and very attractive but it wasn’t being used. People would look at it and say “nice donkey” and yet the donkey was not in use. In the context of what I am about to communicate I’d be teaching something a bit different.

:

Sometimes we cry to God and say “God, I am available. Use me!”, Yet it seem nothing is happening. Why? I have come to understand that availability isn’t just all! Being ready to be used is very important. Many people are available but they are not ready. People might look at us and say “wow… He looks good for this” but it is not a matter of looking good for something, it is a matter of being prepared and staying prepared!

:

Until Jesus met this donkey nothing was known about it! The donkey was reserved, set apart and made ready for the use of the master! (Matthew 21:2) Jesus was not just opting for any available donkey, He opted for a prepared donkey! Just like God choosed virgin Mary to be the mother of Jesus, God wasn’t looking for any available virgin, He looked for a prepared virgin!

:

What are you set apart for? God or something else? The donkey was set apart for Jesus and when Jesus got hold of it the status of this donkey went up! Yes, Jesus was sitting on the donkey as He drove into Jerusalem. While the people were hailing Jesus, the donkey was also getting into the spotlight! While they were casting down their clothes for Jesus, the donkey marched and moved on it! If that donkey was ever priced at that moment, it would worth billions of dollars!

:

Are you reserved for Jesus? Are you prepared? Or are you just available without preparation? God cannot make you a global icon when you’ve not being able to prepare yourself before hand! It is your own duty to get prepared and that can only happen if you know where you are going in life! Stop waiting for a million people when you’ve not reached out to one person.

:

There has never been a day in my life where I doubted that God is taking me to the global scene! I never doubted that and I keep getting myself ready! When I talk, arrange events and do anything, I do it with a consciousness of where I am going! You cannot become a CEO of a million dollar company when you’ve not built capacity for it! It is you who build capacity, God will not do that for you. You can’t be thinking locally and expect to have the capacity to lead internationally.

:

The onwers of this donkey knew where this donkey was going! They got it ready and never allowed anyone else to use it! It was reserved for the master. If I should ask you… Who are you reserved for? Who have you given the permission to use you other than Jesus? Are you being used by your own selfish desires? Are you being used by the world?

:

Only Jesus can elevate your status! This is not about being a celebrity or a Hollywood star! No! When Jesus is in your life, people will see a different you! When you allow Jesus to drive you just like He drove the donkey, people will respect you and give you honour! Why? Because they’re seeing Jesus in you!

:

It’s not about being a Pastor, it is about understanding what God has called you to do and work towards it! You are the one to say “yes” to that call! You’re the one to get yourself prepared for that task and then allow Jesus to drive you! Unlike the donkey… Never ever let go of Jesus! Because… Without Jesus, you’re a nobody!
