Lots of believers have fears, they are not sure if their salvation is secured because they are told that one way or the other they can be believers and still lose their salvation. They are afraid whenever they hear that Jesus is coming soon because they are not sure if God has forgiven them of certain sins or not. I wouldn’t want to make a long note out of this issue and this post is not meant to queue in for argument but like I will always say, the Bible remains God’s word and God’s word remains the only authority.
We were not saved because we were faithful but because God is faithful and His word says His faithfulness is forever!
“For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:5
We received our salvation by believing that God is mighty to save and has offered us salvation and we can remain saved as long as we keep believing that God has saved us through Jesus.
Now, why am I forever saved? Because God is forever faithful.
“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:9
I can trust God forever because He is faithful. You cannot trust in the Lord and be put to shame! You cannot trust in the Lord and lose your salvation! You cannot trust in the Lord and go to hell! Let me show you a place with which I will summarize this short note
“They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.” Psalm 125:1
You see that? As long as you believe (trust) God as manifested in Jesus, you cannot be removed from Him because you abides forever! The better word that explain what this place is trying to communicate is “embedded forever”! You are fixed forever and nothing can happen to you or your salvation unless you stop believing and trusting in God’s ability to keep you!
Never forget this… God is faithful who has called you into fellowship with Christ Jesus! He will preserve you! You shouldn’t fear the second coming of Jesus… It should be something you anticipate for in joy because when Jesus comes… He shall take you home!
Wouldn’t you want other people to experience this salvation you have experienced? That is why you must live like Jesus… Let the world see Jesus in you and an undeniable love… With that, you can win them for Christ!
God bless you.
