“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” – 2 Corinthians 2:8-9

God has the ability to bless us and not just bless us but bless us beyond what we know or can define as blessings. But God’s blessings are for a reason.

1. God blesses us because he is God, the ability to bless and the ability to approve blessings is solely His.

2. God blesses us so that in all times we should be bound to good works and not just good works but every good works. God wants the needy to also be blessed through our own blessings. We are actually blessed to become blessings to others.

3. God blesses us because He loves us and will always want to prove it. He already did by sending Jesus and is also proving it by affecting our lives positively.

“He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock, in the land that he swore to your fathers to give you.” Deutronomy 7:13

God’s blessings brings about multiplication. His blessings affects the fruit of our womb! What does that mean? He blesses our generations too… We are generationally blessed! He has blessed the fruit of our ground! We need to understand this place, it doesn’t say God’s blessings will cause the ground or the womb to bear fruit, it is saying that the blessings of God is beyond bearing fruit! God’s blessings makes the fruits a blessing too! It is about being a Doctor, it is about your services being blessed too and God has guaranteed that!

The Hebrew word for blessing is “Barack”  which means to kneel, to cause kneeling. From this, I want to derive a theory. God blesses the humble so that they can remain humble. For any to be blessed in the ancient time by a father, he must kneel. When you give to the poor in sincerity, it is a service and a sign of humility. When you support evangelism works financially, you’re serving and when you do that sincerely, you’re being humble and God’s blessings will continue manifesting.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” John 4:10

Before you can experience God’s blessings, you must first of all humble yourself. Believing is also a part of humility. What you don’t believe cannot work for you. Put your trust in God and not in your country or in your academic exploits. Believe that you are blessed.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for blessing me beyond measure. Thank you for who ever you have made me become and thank you for whoever you’re still making me to become. Thank you for my failures and my success. May your blessings continue to manifest in my life.
