He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ ). He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter). – John 1:37-42 WEB

Andrew was the first disciple of Jesus to make a bold step to share his new found faith and bring another to Christ. The surprising was that he brought Peter!

Peter became one of the greatest and most influential apostle of Jesus. He boldly declared the good news on the day of Pentecost and saw more than 3,000 born again because women were not counted. Right there at the gate of the temple, he healed a lame man and as a result of the healing, 5,000 became born again. The same Peter raised Dorcas from dead, he was first to introduce the gospel to the gentile and authored two books of the Bible which have affected lives of billions of people through the centuries.

Now do you know? Andrew was responsible for it all! He may have faded in background but if not him, there would be no Peter! It is like networking business as done in various multi level markets. When you get people to register under you and they happen to work more hard, as they are been promoted you are being promoted…. That is just the way it is. Although Peter’s accomplishments outnumbered those of Andrew but yet if not Andrew, Peter would not have known Jesus.

In every part of the exploit Peter did, Andrew had a part because he was the one that introduced him to Jesus. Andrew will definitely share in every reward that Peter receives.

Not everyone will shake the world like Peter did but everyone is called to share the faith with others as Andrew did. Why not share this faith! The person you introduce to this faith might be the one to shake the entire give like Peter did.

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for your word. From today, I will talk about Jesus. Help me to share the faith I found in you.
